What this connector is

Data n Dashboards ("DnD", "we") operates Community Pulse, a connector that lets you ask Claude questions about our published New Zealand regional statistics (employment, GDP, road accidents and recorded crime) and get answers backed by real query results. This policy covers the connector itself, not datandashboards.co.nz generally.

Account information we collect

Signing up to use the connector only asks for a username and a password. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal details. Your password is stored as a salted hash — we cannot read it back, and we never store or log it in plain text.

Sign-in and session data

Once you sign in, we issue OAuth tokens that keep your Claude connection authenticated as you rather than as an anonymous caller. These tokens are tied to your account and can be revoked by deactivating the account (see Support).

Usage metadata we log

Each time a tool runs, we record which tool was called, which dataset (if any) it concerned, whether it succeeded, how long it took, and a timestamp — attributed to your account. This is what lets us keep the service reliable and see which datasets are actually used.

We do not log the content of your questions to Claude or the answers Claude writes back. We only see which tool and dataset were touched, not the natural-language conversation around them.

The data the connector answers from

Every figure the connector returns comes from published New Zealand regional statistics sourced from our Tableau Server — aggregate public-sector data (jobs, GDP, crash counts, recorded crime), not personal information about identifiable individuals.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share your account or usage data with third parties.
• We don't use tracking or advertising cookies on this connector.
• We don't request or store any data beyond what's described above.

Retention and your rights

Usage logs are kept for as long as needed to operate and support the service. You can ask us to deactivate your account and stop further logging at any time — contact us using the details below.
